GE5 PROJECT

Home Mayor's Initiatives Transportation GE5 Project

It was the most ambitious – and complex – road construction project in Calgary’s history, and it was completed on time and on budget.

The $110 million project included two interchanges, widening a major bridge, and building a whole new roadbed for Glenmore Trail, eight metres below where it was.

Now, traffic moves freely and quickly across the city from east to west.
