ROADS

Home Mayor's Initiatives Transportation Roads

Beginning in 2005, Calgary has been in the midst of the most ambitious road construction program in the city’s history. And things won’t be slowing down any time soon.

Making it easier, safer, and more convenient for people and goods to move into, around, and out of Calgary is not just about getting where we’re going, faster. It’s about improving our quality of life, our competitiveness, and the livability of our community.

In 2007 alone, some $442 million in capital road construction projects were underway, and an additional $520 million will be invested in 2008.
